Organizational Information for Kinnoull Parish Church -

THE CONGREGATION The congregation of about 500, reflects a good cross section of society, from the "young marrieds" whose small children are looked after in the creche on Sunday mornings, to retired people who have lived most of their lives in this area. The various congregational activities aim to cover a wide range of age and interest.

CHURCH CALENDAR Church services are held on Sunday morning at 10.30am At present, evening services are held in the Church Hall once per month and are family orientated with a Youth Praise Band providing our music. Communion is celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of February, 3rd Sunday in May and the 4th Sunday in October. There is also a Communion service on Easter Sunday and New Year Sunday.

CHURCH ORGANISATIONS CRECHE Facilities available to care for children from 0 - 3 years during morning services. The creche is available all year and does not break for school holidays.

MOTHER & TODDLER GROUP Welcomes children from birth up to school age and mother/father. Wide variety of play facilities. Tea/coffee/juice and biscuits. Meets during term time only on Tuesdays from 1.30 - 3.00 pm and welcomes everyone within the parish.

KINNOULL CHURCH PLAY NURSERY With close liaison to Kinnoull Primary School. Children from the nursery visit the school for one hour per week from January to June in the year before attending school. All supervisors are Police checked and the Play Nursery is visited annually by Social Services. There are three members of staff on duty each morning. The nursery is open from 9.00 - 11.30 am - Tuesday to Friday inclusive.

RAINBOWS Part of the Guiding Association for girls 5 - 7 years. Teaches life-skills, games and craft work. Meets every Wednesday during term time from 6.00 - 7.00 pm.

Brownies For girls age 7 - 10 years. Meets during term time from 6.00 - 7.30 pm every Wednesday.

GUIDES Guides meet on Wednesdays between 7.30 - 9.00 pm. All girls between the ages of 10 - 14 years are welcome.

ANCHOR BOYS The youngest section of the Boys' Brigade caters for boys of ages 6 - 7 years and meets on Friday evenings.

JUNIOR SECTION The second of the three sections caters for boys between 8 - 11 years. Junior section meets on Friday evenings.

COMPANY SECTION Boys of ages 11 - 17 years attend Company Section on Friday evenings.

The GUILD For all ages within the Parish. Meets every fortnight from October until March at 7.30 pm. Transport available if required. The Guild is an active group within the Church of Scotland and welcomes your support.

THURSDAY CLUB An informal get together for both men and women from the Parish. We invite speakers and meet for tea/coffee and a chat. All welcome. Meetings are on 1st Thursday of each month from September - March at 2.30 - 4.00 pm

SOCIAL TEAM This team aims to encourage members of the parish to meet for fellowship and fun at all age events within the Church Hall. The emphasis is to provide a place where we can meet and get to know each other.

TRANSPORT GROUP Transport is offered to anyone within the Parish to enable them to attend Sunday Worship. Please let your district elder know. If you require transport to any of the other organisations listed here please get in touch with the contact number given.

SUNDAY SCHOOL The Sunday School joins in with communal worship for the first 15 minutes of the sunday service then meets together within age groups until the end of the service. This is in operation for children of primary school age.
